Frequently asked questions about skip and bin hire, waste removal and recycling

  • When and How can I pay?

We accept cash or cheque on delivery, or you can pay over the phone via credit card when booking a bin. We accept Visa, Amex or Mastercard credit cards.

  • What size bin do I require?

Our 3m3 and 4.5m3 hardfill bins are purpose built to take clean hard-fill such as soil, concrete, bricks, stone, tiles, clay, gravel, rocks, sand & tar seal. These smaller bins are also ideal for those weekend clean-up jobs.

For those larger waste disposal jobs we offer a 9m3 (equiv to 10 small trailers) or a 12m3 bin (equiv to 12 small trailers).

If you are unsure as to the size of bin you require please give us a call to discuss your waste disposal requirements and we will be only too happy to provide you with a solution that meets your needs.

  • What is not allowed to be placed in the bin?

We are not able to accept any form of hazardous waste, for example chemicals, waste oil, paint, tyres, fibrolite (asbestos), bulk food waste or bulk glass. We also do not accept large tree stumps.

If you have any doubt as to the suitability of your waste please give our office a call to discuss your options.

  • How high can I fill the bin?

LTSA rules require that bins are not to be filled past the top rim. Please ensure to comply with this requirement, as for health and safety reasons our drivers are not able to collect bins that are loaded over height or insecurely loaded.

  • How long can I have the bin?

Our standard term of hire is 3 days, however please let us know if you would like to arrange a bin for more than 3 days.

  • What width of drive do I require in order for trucks to access my property?

Our trucks are light and manoeuvrable and will access most driveways. We need a minimum width of 2.6m. If you are unsure of your access situation give us a call and we will be only too happy to visit your site or property and provide free advice.
